Solent Area 02nd July 2005
The idea was to go to Eastleigh on the previous day and the Saturday as well and place both sets of photos together on one page but after my trip on June 29th to Rugby I was feeling pretty tired. So I decided to take Friday at a snails pace and stay at home then come up to the Millbrook area to photograph the Deltic that was on the Railtour from Preston on the Saturday. Here are a few pics from the day out.

An unidentified Virgin Voyager passes Millbook on the down fast with a service to Bournemouth.
66570 accelerates past Millbrook container terminal with a service from Soton Maritime to the north.
Southwest Trains class 170 Turbostar accelerates away from its stop at Millbrook with a service for Toton.
66541 waits for the right of way to make its way back to Soton maritime after carrying out some shunting duties at Millbrook for the second time that morning.
2402 County of Hampshire accelerates South on the down fast with a service for Weymouth.
159020 passes Millbrook on a service for Salsbury.
55019 Royal Highland fusielier appears round the curve after its slow run through Southampton central station. I was planning to get a couple more photographs but it was moving way to quick for them to be any good so I decided to get it on video. You can download the video from HERE
I also visited Eastleigh to see what was about. But as usual for a Saturday not much was going on. Apart from 57003 slowing for a crew change at Eastleigh.
On the return leg 55019 appears round the curve at Southampton Central.
