Wareham Area Down Main Renewal 12th March 2005
To start off the weekends proceedings 66122 on it's third weekend of engineer's trains, arrives at Poole on the 6Z36 23:04 EHYD-PE train. This train consisted of the Balfour Beatty New Track Construction Machine. which was used for the first time last weekend. On the back end was 66150.
66127 with 1 Oca, 5 x seacows and 6 loaded JRA's pulls into Poole on the 6Z37 23:24 EHYD-PE.
6Z38 EHYD-PE in charge of 66036 with 15 loaded JRA's apart from 66122 all the following locomotives worked wrong line to Wareham from Poole. Some 9 miles!!
66063 brings in a short train made up of 1 OBA & 1 OCA wagon and 2 KWA (plant) flats and 5 loaded Network Rail MRA's. This was the 6Z39 01:10 EHYD-PE.
Network Rail's MRA 501160 waits for entry into the possession site at Poole. These were built by Thrall Europa.
66044 on the 6Z40 01:42 EHYD-PE with a consist of 15 (sets of 5) Network Rail MRA's. It was a bit concerning seeing this driver look as though he was doing more than 15 mph of the crossover at the Weymouth end of Platform's 1 & 2.
66022 arrives at Poole with the 02:02 6Z41 EHYD-PE, this had a rake of 15 loaded JNA wagons.Some 1350 tonnes worth.
