Holton Heath Up Main Renewal 20th February 2005

More from the 6 weeks Track renewal west of Poole. Of note some of these photo's are not my best. There are some dark ones as well as lighter ones. I was experimenting with the EV settings on the new camera, the majority of them appeared all blurred so next week a Tripod is recommended.

Ok this has nothing possibly to do with the engineering works but you might say it caught my eye somewhat!! 2408 tries to sneak off to the reception sidings unnoticed!!

66038 draws into Poole at 21:50 with the 6Z27 20:24 EastleighYard - Poole.

I was pretty much surprised to see 4 YGB Seacow's attached to the train.

Also in the consist was a Par flat wagon for the odd bit of jointed rail thats been left.

66150 Draws in on the 6Z29 21:31 EHYD - PE @ 22:58

66122 arrives @ Poole on the 6Z30 23:02 EHYD - PE @ 21:51. This had 15 JRA Bogie Box Open Wagon's as its consist.

Sunday morning and 66036 passes the signal box at Poole with the 6Z31 09:56 PE - EHYD some 40 minutes down. This was the last train to arrive with 66018 leading on Saturday night.

66018 brings up the consist of 15 now full JRA's with the 6Z30 10:56 PE - EHYD @10:59

At Keysworth crossing we see 66038 (closest to the camera) on the down line with 66215 as the middle loco and 66150 as the loco at the back. Note the freshly laid track on the up. That was from the work carried out on the 12th of Feb. © James Henley
