Wareham Station up line renewal May 13th 2007

Not many photos from the event I'm afraid mainly due to poor weather conditions and tiredness. This is the first of three blockades between Poole & Wool centralised around the Wareham area. The first lot of work was complete renewal of the up line through Wareham Station.
All the photos were taken with a 5 second exposure setting using my Sony R1 with a tripod. These were photographed in RAW format and then after being transferred to the computer and sharpened each one had the colour temperature settings edited, they were then saved as a high quality JPEG where further sharpening of the photo was undertaken and finally resized to 777x518.

66035 arrives at Poole around midnight with about 28 Rudd's loaded with Ballast, as well as 2 OBA/OCA wagons. This was forming the 21:09 6Z26 Eastleigh Yard - Hamworthy working. Why it left Eastleigh yard at 21:09 and why it was tripped to Hamworthy where the possession started at Poole is unclear.

444001 terminates at Poole as 66118 waits with the 19:06 6Z27 Eastleigh Yard - Hamworthy (arriving at Poole @ 00:55!!) This had a rake of OBA/OCA's, KWA's and a handful of YLA wagons.

Another shot of 66118 up against the lights at Poole. The sky was very dramatic and the threat of rain came on gradually then at some stages torrential!!

Its now started raining and getting windy as well as 66076 pulls in with the 22:07 6Z28 Eastleigh Yard - Poole. This had 15 loaded side tipping MHA's as the consist.

Its a little after 2AM and prototype EWS GM 66001 has arrived (01:50) with the 22:43 6Z29 Eastleigh Yard - Poole. This had 15 empty Network Rail Falcon (JNA's) wagons as the consist. These trains would take out the spoil and old ballast from the site.

66122 now draws in with 66111 (out of shot) on the rear. This again had a rake of 8 empty Network Rail Falcon JNA's, 1 YLA, 2 KWA's loaded with bulldozer's and 3 OCA/OBA wagons as the consist. This was the final train down and it was the 23:13 6Z30 Eastleigh Yard to Poole (arrived 02:15) working.
