April 1st was a number of 1st's for us around here. The first of the month, the first of many railtours to pass through Poole, the first visit of a DB Schenker liveried loco and the most important first fare paying passenger service to traverse along the line between Furzebrook and Swanage in nearly 40 years.

66152 powers its way past the houses at Sterte on its way to Swanage.

On the rear of the train was EWS liveried 66142 seen here approaching the old Holes Bay junction

Also a first was the 7O48 Whatley Quarry - Hamworthy loaded stone. Hanson liveried 59104 "Village of Great Elm" was in charge of the first stone train to run the branch line in 2 months.

66142 powers the return 1Z91 Swanage - Waterloo tour past Sterte with 66152 on the rear. There was another working the following day as this first tour had sold out. Again 66152 & 66142 worked this tour through out.
