In the shop also was EWS 37 37422 "Cardiff Canton" as a sky blue 37 and the privately owned 73.

On further walk around the "shop" there were plenty of bogies lying around. These were located up near the location of the DRS 20's that were receiving attention and literally opposite The 71A groups Class 33 "Stan Symes".

A rare visitor to our neck of the woods is anything in DRS livery....not alone Class 20's Just one of them in a year is a rarity down here but 15 of them!!! It feels as though they have emigrated!! Not that i'm complaining though.

I last saw this in Poole parked up in Poole Yard. Its Network Rails Stone blower DR79264 & 79274 in bits. I hope they know how to put them back together again!!

Out of all the model railways, which wasn't really many, The one that caught my eye and I stuck around the most was Beovis Park & St Denys N Gauge Model Railway. Its based in the late 80's & early 90's in the Network SouthEast Era and has really re-kindled my passion for Railway Modeling but I cant afford to do it and have no space to be honest. Here we see a CE liveried 73 on a short goods train heading presumably for Eastleigh Yard.

The layout is well modeled apart from the 4 track level crossing that seems to be missing. Although its does not distract from the overall look of the layout. As well as the usual stock they also have a full rake of LPG wagons & barrier vehicles so they can recreate the Furzebrook - Hallen Marsh LPG train. Although I didnt get chance to see it move. A very good layout and one I would love to see in operation again.

Merchant Navy Class 4-6-2 35005 "Canadian Pacific". This turned out to be one hell of a rust bucket (under the right cab floor) on closer inspection.

The rust buckets driving wheels... They still look impressive.

One of only a few surviving traverser's still in use in the UK.

Another shot of 50026 "indomitable".

A "The sun is in the right spot" shot of 50135 "Ark Royal".

A shot of one of the ends of 50135, inspired from the shot I took on my mobile phone a few minutes earlier.

Head on shot of 508301

59206 Nameplate & cab profile.

1497 & 3417

508301's builders plate. Hey usually you cant see this when they are whizzing along at a fair rate of knotts so I thought I would include it.

Livery profile of the cab sides of 1497 & 3417.

1497 "Freshwater" nameplate. Just how much longer these can survive on the Lymington Branch is not known but rumors are rife that they could be gone as early as the December 2009 timetable change.

Now named 73119 "Borough of Eastleigh" nameplate & crest.

Again not a shot that you can get every day of a 33, so I have included this shot of 33103 in here.

Ahh the BR Years. 20110 looks fantastic in BR corporate blue.

D7612 (ex 25901 & 25262) looks great in green. I Have not seen a 25 in years.

We come to the end of the event now and who is at the gate to bid me farewell but the ol girl 07007.... See you in another 21 years..... or less.

Whilst waiting for my train home I managed to snap a few shots of some train movements. Here 08804 is hauling 66114, 66137 and WIA rake 857049710240. I didnt take my 300mm lens with me so I was kinda stuck with long range shots. Still they dont look that bad.
