this part of Campbell Road bridge has all ways been popular with the Rail Enthusiast. From here you get a good look into the depot. Here Network Rail MPV's 98980+98930 are waiting for their next turn of duty next to an unidentified MPV.
Not one of the lucky ones but one of the donor locomotives, 58037 is seen rotting away in EWS's depot.
This is the main reason I went to Eastleigh. Mainly to photograph the Wessies that have been stored in the old railway works.
It really is a sad sight and only now do I know to a degree how all the fans of the Deltics felt like when they were withdrawn from service. Kinda silly really.
If any one has any sort of clue what these are then give us a shout. I have no idea what they are. But along with the 442's various 158's & 153's these were also stored here.
A Head on shot of 153308 in Eastleigh works. before I get email's accusing me of trespass, it was pallasade fencing which meant I could fit my small DSC P150 between each slat.
170305 rounds the curve at Eastleigh with a Romsey to Totton stopping service.
66705 Golden Jubilee sits opposite platform 3 at Eastleigh awaiting its next turn of duty.
