Eastleigh & St Denys 16th June 2007

66539 with a Soton Maritime bound liner not stopping at Eastleigh but strangely routed via platform 1!
08664 was busy shunting engineering stock around. After it took down a long train of OBA's, ZBA's and rail panel flats it shunt up a rake of JNA's including to my surprise an MEA wagon was in the consist as well. 391559 is the wagon.
66025 on a Soton Maritime to Castle Bromwich empty cars draws out of platform 1 onto the up slow.
An unidentified 221 storms through Eastleigh with a service to Edinburgh
One of the replacement for SWT's 170 DMUS 1588886 is about to join the Romsey branch for stabling until its needed for the return journey to Totton. Engineering works around the Chandlers Ford and Redbridge area has led to the Totton - Romsey trains terminating at Eastleigh. These units have very comfy seats as well :).
GB railfreight's ED 73206 Lisa arrived at Eastleigh Yard with the 6G10 Engineers from Chertsey and is seen here passing underneath the Bishopstoke Road bridge and for the GBRf stabling point behind platform 3.
Eight car Desiro 450012 & 450102 awaits a Weymouth - Waterloo train to pass it before it can leave Eastleigh.
A Freightliner Southampton driver waits patiently for a pair of GBED's to move off the foot crossing. The 2 ED's were 73205 Jeanette & 73209 Alison. These arrived on the 6G11 11:00 Chertsey - Eastleigh Yard Engineers.
The action moves to St Denys now some 4 miles south of Eastleigh. Here 159021 & 159015 are on an unknown service presumably to Portsmouth Harbour.
159104 leaves St Denys with the Eastleigh - Totton service.
One of the main reasons for going to St Denys was to photograph & video the Pullman VSOE ECS to Southampton Eastern docks, with 67005 & 67017. Unfortunately it kind of appeared as 66570 was going full pelt through St Denys with the Leeds - Southampton Maritime intermodal. Bowled by a bloody 66, oh the humanity!!!
Ok there was a few clear container wagons where I tried to get a shot of the front end of the VSOE!!
HEH at least I got a better shot of 67017 Arrow on the rear!!
Two shots of Southern's 377470 on a Victoria - Southampton service as it passes through St Denys and on towards Mount Pleasant level crossing.
158746 on a Cardiff - Portsmouth Harbour service.
As 159104 departs St Denys an unidentified class 221 Voyager storms through with a service to Bournemouth.
An unidentified Class 221 voyager waits at a Red signal for a fast Weymouth - Waterloo 444 Desiro to pass. Bit of revenge here as we were stuck in Eastleigh waiting for a Virgin Voyager to Bournemouth to pass. Revenge is a dish best served cold!!

221136 strangely comes off the slow line with a service bound for Leeds. for some strange reason alot of the fast trains 444's and 450's and Voyagers were being routed ontot he up slow and not using the up slow. This is not the same train as the photo above.
158886 waits for the go at St Denys.
67017 Arrow takes the Fareham line with the return VSOE charter to Victoria. This was conveying passengers from the recently docked cruise liners back to London.
Another shot of 67005 Queens Messengerthis time at the rear of the train.
158768 sits in the Bay sidings East at Southampton Central.
