450025 approaches Basingstoke on the up fast whilst an unidentified Freightliner 66 waits for the Reading Branch. This was waiting because a Virgin Voyager had permission to use the branch before the intermodal service.

66101 + 60093 & 66229 in the stabling sidings at Didcot.

66552 "Maltby Raider" on half of the Network Rail ballast distribution train passes Didcot via Didcot east junction.

66121 crawls to a stand in the loco stabling sidings at Didcot.

Profile shot 60093 at Didcot. This loco is named "Adrian Harrington 1955 - 2003 Royal Navy / Burges Salmon" although the nameplate on at least one side is nowhere to be seen. This loco is currently stored.

66523 approaches Didcot with the other half of the Network Rail ballast distribution train as a FGW HST storms through on the down relief lines.

66077's reflection as it shunts some engineers wagons back into Didcot Yard.

221124 passes on the up slow at Didcot with my mate, Neil an Eastleigh based Virgin driver behind the controls, Big up Neil :). If he had told me some 20 years ago that he'd be driving Virgins for a living I would have laughed at him ;)

Another shot of 60093.

57010 "Freightliner Crusader" on a rather empty Wentloog (Cardiff) - Southampton Maritime intermodal service. Of late a lot of Freightliner traffic to and from Southampton Maritime and Millbrook has been very empty indeed.

66077 "Benjamin Gimbert GC" prepares to leave Didcot with the Didcot to Eastleigh engineers.

43088 prepares to stop at Didcot with a service from Paddington.

60093, 66121, & 66158 in the stabling sidings.

66229 on a short trip working reverses into Didcot yard.

On returning to Reading on a HST 66520 & 66527 "Don Raider"are stabled in Reading Yard.

59001 "Yeoman Endeavor" prepares to slow for a stop at Reading on the through line with an unidentified service.

Profile of the front end of a FGW Adelante stopped at Reading.

Any visitors to Basingstoke either leaving or arriving have seen these pair of wagons on the disused siding next to the First Great Western Link platform for services to and from Reading. This and the other wagon have been here for years. Whether they appear to be here for any more years is yet to be known. The wagon number is 083473. Any ideas of to what it and the other wagon was can be emailed to the webmaster.

66502 comes off the Reading branch on an unidentified intermodal to either Southampton Maritime or Millbrook. This train was fully loaded mostly with P&O & P&O Nedlloyd containers.
