Spooned pigs and GB Convoys Yep its yet another trip out to Eastleigh. It was hot and to be honest a bit quieter than usual.

Its not very often I manage to capture the train that I travel up on but here it is 2402 County of Hampshire still unrefurbished stands in platform 1 at Eastleigh with a semi fast service for Waterloo.

An unidentified Voyager gives rather good soundage of Horn through Eastleigh. Thanks Neil :) , whilst 450079 waits in platform 2.

Unrefurbished 2404 Borough of Woking leads refurbished 2405 City of Portsmouth on a fast Weymouth - Waterloo service. 2404 is the next pig to goto Ilford for refurbishment.

66543 pulls into platform 1 at Eastleigh for a crew change with the 4E44 Southampton Maritime to Leeds intermodal service.

I think this is a first for me. The first time I have seen a Class 159 at Eastleigh. I am not sure what the working is but it had Waterloo as the destination. 159020 was the unit.

A rather rough sounding 170305 slides into Eastleigh with a service from Romsey bound for Totton.

An unusual site to see a TEA sidelined at Eastleigh. These are owned by Nacco. These usually convey the clay sludge from Quidhampton to Wembley. The wagon is 89114. Behind the TEA are a rake of MKA's that left later on in the afternoon.

444040 sits out of service in platform 1 at Eastleigh whilst a 5-car Super Voyager #221129 George Vancouver passes both the Desiro and inbound Windhoff MPV 98972+98922.

2 more shots of the "Naked" MPV. This was seen in Northam Depot about 90 minutes earlier. The only reason I can assume as to why it was there was possibly to utilize Northam's wheel lathe.

Eastleigh's resident Gronk's seem to making a bit of a name for themselves. 09024 passes platform 3 with a short infrastructure train of 10 yellow Network Rail JNA's and 2 FYA's. Note the England flag on the top left (as you look at it) of the shunter. 08664 also has the England flag flying.

Euroscout 999700+999701 head through Eastleigh at a more leisurely pace than normal with the 1Z98 Willesden TNC - Totton Yd. This will go back to Willsden on the Portsmouth line about 50 minutes after its arrival at Totton.

66223 on an unidentified service pulls out of platform 1 at Eastleigh.

66024 speeds through Eastleigh on the 6V38 Marchwood - Didcot service with one wagon in tow!!! The wagon itself was a VGA # 210527 with Perrier Water Viynls on it.

66539 accelerates from a crew change at Eastleigh with the 4M61 Southampton Maritime to Trafford Park Freightliner service

When I got off the train at Eastleigh I was welcomed onto platform 2 / 3 by 2 lovely GBRF ladies. Jeanette and Janice. GBED's 73205 and 73204 bask in the summer sun whilst 09024 shunt's wagons about the place.
