Scotland

Scotland Glasgow and Edinburgh to be precise some few hundred miles from Poole basicly. I had Two trips to Scotland in the 80's. One in 1984 and the other in 1985. Not many good photos I'm afraid. But heres a small selection.

An unidentified Scotrail liveried 47/7 and a BR Blue 37 stabled at Eastlfield depot in Glasgow in 1984

At least 4 Class 37's in this view and the odd 47 at 09:10 on a cold misty & murky Saturday morning at Eastfield. Bear in mind I traveled up from Poole via Euston and the Knightrider sleeper service on the Friday night. Bearing in mind that we didn't get back to Poole until about midnight on the Saturday night. I was absolutely knackerd.

37401 and an unidentified 37 both in Large logo livery outside one of the buildings at Eastifield. On that day I became the Proud owner of a Scotrail logo and Scotty dog sticker that I both still have to this day. I would like to thank all the staff at Eastfield that really made a 14 year old boys day when they took me and the rest of us, totaling 4 kids and 1 adult, buying us breakfast and giving us a tour of the works and letting us have the Scotrail and Scotty dog stickers. Hearing that we traveled all the way from the South Coast just to come and see them.... well the 37's. So a big thank you, if a bit belated, to the Saturday guys at Eastfield Depot, Glasgow.

An unidentified Class 27 stands idle at Edinburgh Waverly.

47713 Tayside Region & 47716 Duke of Edinburghs Award stand at Edinburgh Waverly waiting the next service back to Glasgow. I plan to go back to Scotland one day but it will never be the same as it was back then.
