The next few pages will be dedicated to open days and the other odd visits to the Depot and stabling point at Eastleigh.



One of the various open days held at Eastleigh during the 80's & 90's. Various locomotives and rolling stock were brought in from around the BR network. Here 2 Deltic's and a Hastings unit are on display.

A grounded 33/0 behind closed doors at Eastleigh awaits its fate along with other bogieless 33's.

Looking different from the BR Blue 08 pictured on page 1 08642 looks attractive in its LSWR (Eastleigh Works) livery. This shunter was cut up at Leeds Midland road in 2005.



09004 "in Bits" in Eastleigh Works. This shunter is now preserved.





Two shots of Eastleigh's own pet 33008 Eastleigh at one of the numerous open days in the 80's & 90's. This loco is now preserved.



33052 Ashford has enthusiasts crawling in and out of all areas of the loco as it sits awaiting its fate during an open day. Behind the blue gates are a number of other "grounded" locos of which I managed to get a few shots off.
