Who are we?
15 mph productions are not professional in any way. I do not pretend to be neither do I wish to be. What you see is what you get. I am a one man team, location scouting, shooting, sound, editing and production of the video's are all done by me. These videos are as is, Which mean some will be taken using a tripod and some hand held. Some with talking over them. There are videos that are shot at night as well as during daylight hours. Night videos that are uploaded to You Tube do not turn out very good due to their compression technology so these look grainy and too dark and thus do not prove as popular as normal daylight videos
How did 15 mph productions come about?
In 2007 I had been toying with a name to stick at the end of the credits of the videos that were being produced. After some period of time I came to the decision of 15 mph Productions for the name. Why? you ask. On one or two of my videos and in plenty of photos I have taken at Poole (you can just make it out in the picture on the right) or some other place you might see a speed sign in the shot this most of the time was the one at Poole for 15mph. Whilst shooting a video of a pair of class 67's heading North out of Branksome Station I panned the camera round chasing the shot and accidently panned on the 15mph sign. Its on THIS video right at the end and I thought yep thats the name. That is how the name came about.
15 mph Productions latest videos on You Tube
Above is where you can view the latest 20 videos uploaded to You Tube. Or you can click to the site HERE to see over 300 videos. Unfortunately due to problems with the player not re sizing correctly (and believe me I have spent 2 hours trying to accomplish this) the player sticks out a bit from the rest of the page. If I can get a better way to display the player then I will.
Above is the latest additions to the Memoirs of Eastleigh series of videos. There are currently 13 episodes available.
Equipment I use
The video's are shot using a Sony DCR TRV230E Digital 8 camera. These are then captured to the PC in digital form using a Pinnacle USB 500 box and edited with Pinnacle software as well. The videos are then uploaded to You Tube for viewing with copyright on them due to unscrupulous people downloading the videos and re-uploading the videos as their own pieces of work.
